Who says garden weddings have to be outdoors?
It was a challenge converting the sophisticated ballroom into an enchanting garden setting, but I think we nailed it! A shade of purple with a touch of pastel and white was used against the charming green background, setting a romantic aura for the wedding.
For the matrimonial ceremony at the roof garden of the hotel, we welcomed the guests with the warmth of romantically lit candles. I like to use candles a lot in weddings, as there is nothing more romantic than the flickering flames dancing in a dimly lit room.
The flower arrangement should be natural yet elegant for a sophisticated garden themed wedding. The bride liked purple and blue so I advised the couple to add a touch of pastel and white to soften the overall pallet, making the arrangement more romantic for weddings.
The wedding banquet was an elegant soiree at the grand ballroom of the hotel, where we magically transformed the room in to a stunning summer garden fete. Summer berries, grapes and Asian fruits like lychee was introduced to the table flowers; guests could truly enjoy the arrangement, tasting the sweet fruits as amuse bouche before the scrumptious Chinese feast.
The bride and groom opted for one large round table that could seat both families; this is a more popular choice in Hong Kong nowadays. With such a big table, you would obviously need an equally big centerpiece otherwise the table would look rather lonely. For this wedding, we literally created a mini garden on the table, covering the table with lots of fresh green moss, elegant flower arrangements of various sizes and again, lots of candles, the outcome was truly dreamy and divine.
