Did you know that the term ‘bohemian’ was originally a reference for Roma Gypsies who are believed to be from Bohemia, Central Europe? The Oxford Dictionary describes ‘bohemian’ as “socially unconventional in an artistic way”, which is what gypsies are known for. Currently, the bohemian concept has made its way to the 21st Century and has become popular in fashion, home furnishings, and weddings!
If you’re looking for a bohemian-inspired wedding in Bali, look no further than Petitenget Beach. Here, you will find a rather unique wedding venue called Mano Beach House. Founded by two Balinese men, the beach house was built and designed to give its guests the “slow living experience”.
Step foot into Mano Beach house and you’ll notice its earthy tones and neutral colour schemes and feel its laid back vibe. The team at Mano Beach House describes the style as a “contemporary interpretation of the ancient Greek architecture and bohemian tribal design with a Balinese touch”.
For those who’d like to get in touch with their artistic side and relax with good food and great company, this is the place to be.
Did you know that approximately 1.23 million Australians visited Bali last year? That’s about 20.7% of the Australian population!
This is one of the main reasons why Mano Beach House decided to come up with an international menu. What separates them from other venues is their use of contrasting cooking techniques and the addition fusion of Indonesian spices into their dishes. Their head chef, Agung Arnawa, is known for adding a unique touch to the food prepared. As an example, he grates cured egg yolks over caesar salad to add more zest and flavour to the dish.
A signature menu item here is the Panaeng Curry with Confit Chicken Leg.
The venue space at Mano Beach House is catered for private events such an intimate wedding. Most of the weddings conducted here consisted of about 100 people. However, the venue can accommodate up to 175 pax (seated) and 250 pax (standing).
The minimum spend on food and beverages for a wedding at Mano Beach House is USD14,000. This includes welcome drinks, canapés, buffet dinner, and a cocktail party.
All brides desire their wedding to stand out from the rest. Some of our tips to do that are to:
1) Pick a unique and beautiful venue (a beach house is a good example)
2) Ensure there’s a nice background (bohemian tribal designs are a good way to do this!)
3) Ensure there’s a good selection of food that caters to a majority of the crowd’s taste buds
Mano Beach House provides all of the above and more for your wedding needs.
