The speedboat we were on came to a stop at Maya Bay, where the Leonardo DiCaprio movie, The Beach, was filmed in the year 2000. Upon jumping off the boat, my friends and I got excited about the emerald-coloured water and the fact that we could see the bottom of the sea!
We looked up and saw the yellow rays from the sun falling nicely onto the huge limestone cliffs on either side of where we were. We thought, how could such a beautiful place exist in the world?
I’m talking, of course, about Krabi. The above is in reference to a trip my friends and I took to Thailand last year. We had taken a speedboat tour of several islands in Krabi and it truly did not disappoint.
