Wanna try your hand at being Gary Kwok, aka the goddess of flowers? Gary Kwok Flowers | Design just opened a pop-up store called Mini G in Tsui Sha Tsui until the 26th of September. Aside from the gorgeous floral arrangements and bouquets you can buy on the spot, they have scheduled workshops for adorable jelly art (yes, it's edible) and everything floral-related, including baskets, headdresses, centrepieces, corsages, and home décor.
They offer private bookings, too. Those stumped for bridal shower ideas can spend an afternoon at Mini G making floral headdresses for instance. Fresh flowers, foliage, and the use of tools is included in the price, which is HK$6000 for five people. Extra participants can join for an additional fee per head.
But honestly, it's worth it. An experienced senior florist and an assistant will guide you through the whole process and make sure what you produce is Kwok-worthy. They're happy to answer any questions you might have and by the end of it, you and every one of your girls will have a beautiful flower-laced headdress to wear home.
Strangers will stare, but it's only because they're jealous.
