My fun skin treatment experience to share!
There are many medical cosmetology treatments available in the market, which a bride-to-be may try on herself to boost self-confidence and look her very best for the big day. Among these treatments is HIFU. You may not have heard of it, however those who have want to try it. Nevertheless, I’m sure you’ll have some questions about HIFU.
HIFU (“High Intensity Focused Ultrasound”) is an early stage medical technology that is in various stages of development worldwide to treat neurological disorders like Parkinson’s to even some types of cancer.
As you may be aware, after the age of 25 the skin deteriorates and circulation gets weaker; this is why women are encouraged to use anti-aging/firming products to maintain healthy skin. However, these products aren’t enough to revitalise our skin to its former glory. This is where HIFU comes in to do the work that normal products aren’t able to do.
HIFU is something I would consider to be more “natural” in comparison to plastic surgery. The treatment is done using many different devices and most reviews online claim that the experience can be quite painful. This is why I personally put this treatment on hold, as I was told by a close friend that it felt like being hit in the face by a truck.
Recently I was invited by “The Clinic” to try their HIFU treatment imported from Korea. Despite my reservations, I convinced myself to try it and therein my adventure towards an HIFU treatment began.
HIFU, as the name suggests, uses High Intensity Ultrasound to focus on the inner layer of the skin to help stimulate the cells and create a lifting effect.
The ultrasound-based device tightens the facial tissues using thermal energy, and the machine in “The Clinic” has three types of energy depth (each one focused on different layers):
First, we began by removing my make-up from my face. Next, the staff administered a local anesthetic and asked me to wait for 20 minutes so that it can kick in. My HIFU treatment was conducted by medical doctors, who examine facial structures to suggest the intensity of the thermal energy.
Thankfully, other than my face turning red, I had no major reaction following the treatment at “The Clinic” and to my pleasant surprise the whole treatment was painless!
It’s been over two months since I went for this treatment I’m happy that all of my friends have noticed the significant difference in my skin. Thank you “The Clinic”!
Get that flawless skin before your big day!
