Wedding band features rock n' roll hall of fame icon Jon Bon Jovi in an unforgettable performance of "Livin’ on a Prayerâ€.
The iconic rock band founder and frontman, Jon Bon Jovi was a special guest at a wedding in Florida last weekend and gave a somewhat reluctant performance of his 1986 hit song “Livin' on a Prayer”.
The rocker is seen in videos (see below) to sheepishly take control of the microphone after the wedding band led by Lourdes Valentin launched in to the Bon Jovi classic. A certain rare sight for the Bon Jovi fans who witnessed it!
Bon Jovi chose for a toned-down version of the rock hit however to match the jazz quintet. A trumpet player added a solo performance to fill in for the song’s missing electronic guitar riff.
Valentin told The Associated press that she knew Bon Jovi would be in attendance and therefore prepared the song specifically for him, however she didn’t think he wanted to sing before the party and was “very surprised” when he stepped forward to “grace us with his talent."
