About Lexia -
My interest for hair and makeup started like you may expect, taking every opportunity to do my friends hair at school or makeup for our school balls. Then after doing a few friends weddings, in 2007 I decided to go to makeup school. I attended Samala Robinson academy and graduated with merit and later took some hair training with Schwarzkopf. For the first couple of years of my career I had the honour of working alongside some of New Zealand's top makeup artists who taught me so much more than I could have imagined. Now I am solely a freelance hair and makeup artist and am lucky to be considered among them.
I have experience in all different areas, having worked in television, on corporate events, fashion week many times and with some of Auckland's well known modelling agencies and most amazing photographers.
My main focus now is weddings. It is my passion!
Having been a bride myself I know how important it is to have people working with you who are in love with what they do. My portfolio of work reflects my attention to detail, my creative flare and my ability to really listen to what the bride or client is asking for.
