The Do’s
DO hydrate and begin a skincare routine:
The trick to look effortlessly spectacular on your wedding day is not just about having a great make up artist on your team. Your skin has to be prepped to be on its best as well. Start on a consistent skincare routine each night at least 2 weeks before the big day. If time is not on your side, always remove your makeup thoroughly and follow through with a great moisturizer or sheet mask and lip balm.
DO eat clean & healthy:
Avoid processed and refined foods. Making sure your body gets the best and healthiest options wont just help you look stunning in your gown. Embracing whole foods like vegetables, fruits and whole grains with healthy proteins and fats will do wonders for you to glow from the inside out.
DO pay attention to your nails:
Plan for the type of manicure and pedicure you will like to adorn for your special day, your nails are an extension of your personality and they will be immortalized in your wedding album. All your guests are eager for a glimpse of your new wedding band including the camera so make sure to polish off your look with an immaculate manicure and pedicure. Acrylic or 3D artificial nails with embellishments are suitable for delicate activities. However if you’re thinking of roughing it out, go for the gel manicure or pedicure that does not chip for at least two weeks. Always avoid the risk of getting a chipped nail on your wedding at all costs.
DO treat yourself to a spa treatment before your big day:
Aside for calming your nerves, a body scrub and a body wrap are perect to slough away dry, dead skin cells and leave you with luminous skin. Specific wraps offer excellent ways to detox, diminish the look of cellulite and provide slimming effects.
DO have a discussion with your hair and makeup artist:
Start looking for images of hair and make up that you really like and get his/her advice on if it matches your outfits.
DO book an engagement photo-shoot:
This allows you and your souse-to-be get comfortable with each other in front of the camera. Practice makes perfect!

The Don’ts
DON’T try a new facial:
Even if it guarantees to make you glow or illuminate instantly after just one treatment, you have no idea or time to figure out how the ingredients will react with your skin. Avoid trying anything new 3 months before your wedding.
DON’T get a new haircut:
Yes, this means no crazy haircut or colour which you have never tried.
DON’T pop those pimples:
Let it go down on its own or with a tested treatment. Indulge in a lot of sleep, stay nourished and keep your skin hydrated. Do a mask every night if needed!
At the end of the day, no matter the choice of makeup, the type of hair or even the quality of treatments you decide to go with, just remember to stick within your comfort levels and you won’t have to worry about anything else. Oh, and finally always, yes ALWAYS remember put on that glowing smile of yours when in front of the crowd!
